Baseball

Baseball is the great American pastime. I love baseball, but I have a few problems. There should be no playoffs!!! The World Series should place the best National League team against the best American League team. And there definitely should not be a wildcard. The Houston Assholes are going to the World Series despite finishing the season 11 games behind the Cardinals. Yes, the Astros did beat the Cardinals in the NLCS.....but should a best of seven series be more important than a 162 game season?? NO!
We have playoffs and wildcards just to make more money. Which I'm sure is needed being that the players all making millions a year. But it takes away from the sport. Baseball is not a sport of quarters. Its a sport of nine (at least nine) long innings repeated 162 times a year. Its a sport of endurance. Whichever team can maintain the best record throughout the season should be the National League champs. In the American League the best team is going to the World Series. The White Sox should win it all this year.
I like the Astros, but I can't cheer for them because I don't think a wildcard team has any right being in the World Series, especially when they finished such a distant second place in their division.
