Starved

I have had the worst week and a half of bad health in my life!! It all started just two days after I was bragging to my girlfriend about "never getting sick". I usually don't get sick! Once a year I'll get a cold and thats about it.
Well, last Sunday night I came down with a bad fever and was chilling and tired and just wanted to sleep. The next night (last Monday) I ate a bowl of beef vegetable soup...homemade....it was great.....but it was my last decent meal.
I spent about three days in bed....unable to eat.... and vomiting. I became so dehydrated I required multiple visits to the ER for fluids. By Thanksgiving night I felt better except for an intense heartburn feeling.....I mean intense even when drinking water!! I couldn't drink water...it hurt too bad...still couldn't eat...
I went to the ER again and was admitted to the hospital and spent three nights there. Apparently, all of the vomiting on an empty stomach had severely damaged my esophagus. My stomach acid ate away the lining!! So everything burns!!

I was released from the hospital and feel good except for the fact that I still can't eat....the doctors say it will take several days for my esophagus to completely heal.....At least I can now drink water painlessly....but I can't handle any thing else....I'm on a semi-liquid diet.....I'm living on grits, soup, oatmeal and puffed wheat cereal!!! I've lost 10 pounds!! (I'm skinny and don't need to lose weight!!)
I've been craving a Hungry Howie's Pizza!!!! And steaks....food, any type of real food!!!!!Each day that passes I can tell little improvements! Today, for the first time, I was able to eat Ice Cream!!!
Damnitt.....I should not be excited over eating ice cream....I can't wait to get back to normal...I want to eat everything I see!!!
